About The Speaker:

Wayne Westcott

Wayne is a Senior Wetland and Aquatic Ecologist at ENVASS Group of Companies, having conducted over 130 specialist studies.

Wayne holds a BSc (Hons) in environmental science water resource management from Rhodes University and has been conducting wetland and aquatic specialist works since 2016. To augment this, he has gained experience in conducting Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Water Use Licence Applications (WULA), and terrestrial specialist work over the years. His primary focus has been within the mining and industrial sectors, however, he has experience in the private development and public sectors as well.

He is professionally registered with the South African Council of Natural Scientific Professionals (SACNASP), SASS5 Accredited aquatic biomonitoring practitioner, and a member of the Wetland Society of South Africa and KwaZulu-Natal.
